The calm after the storm

This is my favorite time of day. Breakfast finished, lunches made, kids dressed, washed, brushed. Papa Pan and the bigguns off to school, diaper changed, and the rhythm of the day is in swing. When the quiet descends on us and I catch my breathe Wild Thing draws.

Pirate adventures...

The most luscious volcanoes you ever did see.

What a peaceful shot of the little one at the table. I love the color of the walls!

I love that room! What a nice space and table! I can't wait to have more room like that one day!

Thank you! I think this room cost 75.00 to decorate!

Old school desk - free, dresser under the window - free, the pottery and wooden bowls were from a my old church rummage sale and the Salvation Army basement.

The table was made in 1968 by Papa Pan's hippie friend, when she moved from Cape Breton to New York City in the early 70's she gave it to him. It was his bed for a few years (it is actually japanese kneeling height - we added taller legs)

The chairs were free and 5.00 each at a yard sale at the Montessori School...

The tree spirit sculpture was a gift from Papa Pan last winter when we moved here.

There's a sisal rug from Ikea that goes under the table but it is hanging on the line outside after Sprout went on a wild coffee spilling adventure!
