I kinda regret already "knowing" this house before it was "renovated" and put on the market.
Whats worse is that yesterday I visited my favorite historical buff/antique shop and he showed me all the stuff that came out of the house...that we could buy back for a few thousand dollars.
I left with 4 windsor chairs for 35.00 instead.

oh, the before is so perfect! why do people feel the need to "update" when "restoring" is so much more worthwhile?
You guys have seen nothing...I just sold a century stone home on a stunning, rolling hundred acres...but, the last owners, did a major reno, instead of restore, in true '80s style...ala...Arthur Erikson...lots of concrete, steel and glass. It was horrible.
Oh Deb!!! I think of Ruby Armstrong's house...and then the movie Beetlejuice and the horrific reno the city people did on their lovely farmhouse!
