There was a little boy...

who had a little curl, right in the middle of his forehead
and when he was good he was very very good
but when he was bad, he was HORRID!
sigh...I've been trying to get a good picture of Sprout's curls, but he was not cooperating.

Nature Girl loves this nursery rhyme and acts it out quite well :-)

We need a wild rumpus to get this playroom hopping

These are the last pics before the LEAK was discovered.
A playdate with the Rock Hound is in the works.

More things back in their rightful place

The tickle trunk full to the brim.
Sprout picking books!
Hi-ee Bruder and Arra and Iron! We gotta playroom again!
I love you!

Its finally a ROOM again!

Family room take two, the blank canvas no personality "sell this house" type.
Old egg crates for toy storage...
Storytelling/nature corner
OMG!!!! We aren't waldorf purists! Yes those are videos and dvds! Not quite finished in here yet, another shelf for homeschool stuff, and the plinth the screen and vcr and dvd sit on. But outwardly the room is done!

We're not sure if we can afford this view

what they think it is worth might not match the appraisal they still have to have done. It needs work though so maybe...and they still love the property and might not be ready to sell but might do a rent to own which would free us up from selling during a bad market period.
We do love this...
and this...
and this...

Send us luck we can figure all this out in a way that works for everyone involved. We're still waiting to hear about the barn with the house, and about the house in the village, and then there is selling or maybe renting our house too...I'm getting tired of all the waiting and every time I turn around we find another house we could easily slip into and call HOME!

Sprout does not play with ANY toys when the big kids are away...

Well, thats not entirely true. He has been a trike maniac, "Fred Flintstone" riding all over town (pushing with his feet instead of the pedals). But at home his favorite things to do are wear Wild Thing's stripy hat, and hang out with Mica, the dog, or "help" us. He has kept up the art after breakfast tradition but generally is too busy with tools or digging in dirt, or mixing up stuff in the kitchen to think about toys.

Wild Thing's speech pathologist dropped by for a visit today and we tried an experiment to see if he'd play with her. He got out Wild Thing's blocks (he played with them with her before) but he just wanted to show them to her and then put them away and showed her Wild Thing's bed and Nature Girl's bed and then closed their door like it was a shrine.

He says "Hi-ee Arra! Hi-ee Bruder! Hi-ee Iran!" and kisses the computer screen when he sees pictures of them.

Mica says "Arf oo!" which I think means I LOVE YOU!

kisses and hugs from home for Wild Thing, Nature Girl and Darkmirror, we love you!

I don't talk about my dog often enough

She is the most wonderful dog for little kids in the world and it breaks my heart when I see individual humane societies that will not place huskies with families with young kids. She is absolutely bombproof with little people. She doesn't have many bad habits either, she doesn't jump on kids, doesn't lick faces, doesn't beg for food (very often), doesn't chew up toys. doesn't bark at strangers. Really, she's kinda boring, she doesn't chase balls or fetch sticks either. She's kinda like having a warm fuzzy piece of furniture around. As Sprout demonstrates.

So we went for a drive to see a barn...and the house that comes with it...

Idyllic isn't it? The best part, it's 500 metres into a thriving town from the doorstep. The picture of the whole minifarm I took from my friend Bones' front yard. AND YES THOSE ARE REAL HORSES GRAZING OUT BACK!!!

All taken within 10 minutes of each other,

Strange ghow different the sky looks huh?

Nature Girl and Wild Thing's Garden is Taking Over!

The frontwalk has been half gobbled up.

The hollyhock that ate wolfville - this one is the same height as Darkmirror now!

For Darkmirror

This cloud bank (over the south mountain) pushed out weeks of flat grey cloud cover. We chased it for these shots for you!
